Express Entry Immigration To 0416 Policy And Program Researchers, Consultants And Officers

The Express Entry Program has an occupation list. According to this list the different occupations are divided in groups and given a particular code. A professional occupation in law and social, community and government services has been assigned a code that is 41.

The code 41 is again divided into nine different occupational groups assigned with numerous different duties and responsibilities. All of them have to fulfill the criteria to work as these professionals and they are assigned with various responsibilities and duties which they have to perform and they have.

Unit Group and their duties:

• The first group has the code 4161 which is for Natural and applied science policy researchers, consultants and program officers. These professionals conduct research, make reports, and give consultation and advice in numerous areas related to natural and applied sciences.
• The second with code 4162 is of Economists and economic policy researchers and analysts. These professionals do researches, monitor data, make reports after analyzing the information and prepare plans to resolve business and economic problems and then accordingly develop models to explain, analyze and forecast economic patterns and economic behaviours.
• Third group with code 4163 includes Business development officers and marketing researchers and consultants. They conduct research, prepare policies and control programs to fasten commercial and industrial investment or to promote industrial as well as commercial products and services.
• Fourth group has the code 4164 consists Social policy researchers, consultants and program officers. These officers do research, make policy and administer programs in the areas like employment, consumer affairs, immigration, home economics, corrections, law enforcement, human rights, labour, family and housing services, international and foreign aid development.
• The fifth group has the code 4165 and consists of Health policy researchers, consultants and program officers. Their main duties are to do research, make reports and control health care policies and programs. 
• The sixth group with code 4166 includes Education policy researchers, consultants and program officers. Their responsibility is to do research, develop reports, and administer primary, secondary and post- secondary policies and programs related to education.
• The code 4167 is for the seventh group of professionals who works as Recreation, sports and fitness policy researchers, consultants and program officers. They control sports and fitness activities and recreation and give consultation services and develop policies related to recreation, sports and fitness.
• The eighth group has code 4168 and includes Program officers unique to government. These officers are mainly concerned about the operation and administration of various institutions and government.
• The ninth group of other professional occupations in social science, n.e.c. has the code 4169. This group includes archaeologists, historians and many more occupations in social science.

These professionals basically conduct researches in their relative fields.

Eligibility Criteria common to all:

• Graduation or Masters Degree.
• Several years of experience.

Progression is possible with experience and one can reach to managerial level.
